Last month’s announcement of the 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards’ winning vehicles confirmed what many of us (meaning everyone here at Heritage Subaru Owings Mills, MD and all of our awesome customers) already knew: the Subaru brand is on fire right now when it comes to nationwide recognition. All three Subaru crossover SUVs were winners, with the 2016 Subaru Outback winning Best-in-Class for Premium Mid-Size Crossover SUV, the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek earning the title of Best-in-Class Compact Crossover, and the 2016 Subaru Forester scoring Best-in-Class Mid-Size Crossover SUV.
For the Subaru Outback and the Subaru Forester, this isn’t their first time on the AutoPacific awards podium – both vehicles were winners in 2015 too. And we suspect that this year’s award for the Subaru Crosstrek will be the first of many. After all, these awards are 100 percent customer-focused, and we all know that the Subaru brand is one of the most functional and most appealing for drivers everywhere. More than 65,000 car purchasers responded to AutoPacific’s 15-question survey, which asked drivers to rate their vehicles in important categories like safety, handling, power, and technology. The crux of the survey was to see how much each driver would change about their vehicle after 90 days of ownership, and the results speak volumes: no other crossover SUVs meet their customers’ wants and desires as accurately as the Subaru brand.
If there’s a dark horse amongst these three award winners, it’s the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, if only because the other two SUVs have already won this award.
