One of the many nice things about Subaru models is that they are always getting enhancements. Here you’ll learn about the 2023 Subaru Impreza and how it compares to the 2024 Subaru Impreza.

Power

Both the base 2023 Subaru Impreza and 2024 model are powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that offers 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. There’s an available engine for 2024, however, and this is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder that puts out 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. All models get a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive.

Tech

The infotainment system in the 2024 Subaru Impreza has undergone a change. Instead of the one 6.5-inch touchscreen found in the 2023 model, the new vehicle now has two seven-inch touchscreens. They both come with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and a USB port. Bluetooth®, a four-speaker stereo, and remote keyless entry are also standard.

Safety

Perhaps the biggest difference between the 2023 and 2024 Subaru Impreza models concerns safety features. While the older vehicle has a rearview camera, the newer car offers several other standard systems. These include:

  • Lane departure warning
  • Lane keep assist
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Forward collision warning
  • Forward automatic emergency braking
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Rear seat alert
